What can we say? We have made our reputation on bringing shows to town that others wouldn't. Produce a musical about the porn industry? Yup, and we are so happy we did. After 15 years of bringing Austin local and regional premieres, Pretty Filthy may be the show we will take the most pride in. Besides its stellar cast (Stella Frye-Ginsberg, Libby Dees, Sebastian Vitale, Andrew De La Garza, Sarah Reynolds, Spencer Kasselman, and Tyler Jones), Pretty Filthy brought not only humor, but humanism to the taboo subject of porn.

In 2009, seeing a lack of smaller, edgy musical theatre titles being produced in the Austin area, a group of friends got together to produce one of the first regional productions of Evil Dead, The Musical in the U.S. And thus, Doctuh Mistuh Productions was born.
Since that time, DMP has gone on to produce numerous regional premieres of Off-Broadway musicals and plays that may have never been presented in cities such as Austin, New Orleans, and Durango, CO. Such titles include: Heathers, The Musical; Nevermore, The Imaginary Life and Mysterious Death of Edgar Allan Poe; Bloody, Bloody Andrew Jackson; Reefer Madness, The Musical; and Silence, The Musical. We have also produced more mainstream shows, such as Sondheim's Company and The Laramie Project, and readings of plays, like Angels in America, which had not been seen by the communities in years.
